Notice to All Animal Collectors operating the Subsidy for TSE Testing Scheme
Support under the Fallen Animal Scheme (FAS) will terminate with effect from midnight April 14th 2009.
With effect from Wednesday 15th April 2009, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food will pay a contribution towards the collection cost of over 48 month bovines only. This contribution by the Department is €30 (excl VAT) per animal.
Animal Collectors will no longer be required to deliver to a specified Rendering Plant.
There will be no gate fee charged for over 48 month animals.
The Animal Keepers contribution to the Animal Collector for over 48 month bovines is €47.61 (excl VAT).
