Roundwood and Forest Based Biomass Forecasting
All Ireland Roundwood Production Forecast 2016-2035
The first meeting of the all island roundwood production forecasting group (RPFG) took place on the 19th February 2014 with stakeholders representing the Sawmilling Sector, Coillte Teoranta, Private Forest Growers, Teagasc, the Northern Ireland Forest Service and the Forest Service in the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The overall objective of the group was in accordance with the recommendation of the COFORD Wood Mobilization Group i.e. to issue a new all Ireland roundwood production forecast for the period 2016-2035.
The All Ireland Roundwood Production Forecast 2016-2035 was launched on 19th October, 2016 by Andrew Doyle, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine with responsibility for forestry.
