Minister Coughlan reminds farmers of 29 June Closing Date for Farm Waste Management Scheme

The Minister for Agriculture and Food, Mary Coughlan T.D., today reminded farmers and their agricultural consultants, that the closing date for the lodgement of completed applications under the 2006 Farm Waste Management Scheme is 29 June 2007. Where planning permission is required for the proposed works, written confirmation that such planning permission has been applied for is required by that date from the agricultural consultant. A copy of all drawings must also be submitted at that time.

The Minister added that work could not commence until written approval has been issued by the Department and that a strict deadline of end December 2008 is in place under the Scheme for the completion of all work and the submission of payment claims to the Department.
