Department confirms arrangements for lodgement of claims under Farm Waste Management Scheme

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, today reminded farmers of the need to lodge payment claims with local Agriculture, Environment & Structures (AES) Offices of its Department on or before 31 December 2008.

The Department advised that claims must, as a minimum, include the originals of all invoices marked paid or receipts in respect of works completed under the Scheme.

The Department has become aware, however, that a number of farmers may be experiencing delays in obtaining certificates which must accompany the claim, e.g. tax clearance certificates or concrete quality certificates. Where such a delay occurs, the additional supporting documentation can be lodged with the Department up to close of business on Friday, 9 January 2009.

As previously advised, the deadline of 31 December 2008 is maintained, however, for the submission of a valid claim, including all original invoices and receipts.

Date Released: 24 December 2008
