Minister Coveney confirms HRI CEO bonuses to be repaid and contract to be signed by September

Today the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney TD, following consultation with the Chair of HRI Denis Brosnan and CEO Brian Kavanagh, confirmed that on a voluntary basis the bonuses paid to the CEO in May, relating to 2008/2009, will be repaid to the State in full.  Minister Coveney also confirmed that the outstanding CEO contract will be signed by September.

The Minister has also confirmed today, following discussions with Bord na gCon Chair Phil Meaney, that in the case of CEO Adrian Neilon, his outstanding contract will also be signed by September.

Minister Coveney thanked both Chairmen and CEO's for their co-operation on this matter and looks forward to working with them in the future.
