Call for Research Proposals 2011

Call 2011 Information Seminars

The Department held two Call Information Seminars on Tuesday, 31st January 2012 at Teagasc Research Centre Moorepark, Teagasc, Fermoy, Co. Cork and Friday 3rd February 2012 at the Department Offices, Shared Services Building, Backweston Laboratory Campus, Youngs Cross, Celbridge, Co. Kildare.

Applications are invited for funding under the:

  • Food Institutional Research Measure (FIRM)
  • Research Stimulus Fund (RSF)
  • Programme of Competitive Forest Research for Development (CoFoRD)

These programmes, funded under the National Development Plan 2007-2013, provide funding, on a competitive basis, for research that is neither commissioned nor carried out in-house by individual companies.

All suitable institutions in Ireland that can demonstrate the necessary research capabilities including Universities, Institutes of Technology and Teagasc are eligible to submit proposals.  Similar institutions based in Northern Ireland are eligible as partners in such submissions. The results of the research will be made available for the benefit of the agri-food and forestry sectors, the consumer and policymakers.

Completed application forms must be submitted via email in PDF format to: Research@agriculture.gov.ie.

Applications received electronically prior to this deadline will be deemed final and no further additions, corrections or amendments will be accepted.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 1 pm on Wednesday 7th March 2012.
