ERA-NETSs

From time to time this Department provides funding from one or more of its three competitive public good research funding programmes (FIRM, Stimulus & CoFoRD) to facilitate participation of researchers in Irish Public Research Organisations (RPOs) in Calls run by ERA-NETs of significant relevance to the Agri-Food (including Forestry) sector such as EMIDA, WOODWISDOM, ICT-AGRI, RURAGRI and ERA-CAPS.  Overall funding will be limited to a set ceiling for each eligible Call and intending applicants will have to adhere to a set of national eligibility criteria. Details of funded Calls will be posted on the Department website as they arise and Research Offices of relevant Irish public RPOs will be alerted via email.

Funding for participation in the ICT AGRI ERA-Net Call 2015

DAFM in association with Teagasc, invite researchers from Teagasc and the Higher Education Institutions (HEI’s) in Ireland to submit research applications under the ICT-AGRI ERA-Net Call 2015, either as partners or coordinators. All applications must be joint research proposals involving any two HEIs or Teagasc and any HEI. 

The total indicative funding provided by DAFM and Teagasc in respect of this Call shall not exceed €700,000.

Funding for participation in the Animal Health and Welfare (anihwa) ERA-Net Call

The Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine invites applicants from Teagasc and Higher Education Institutions (HEI's), including Universities and Institutes of Technology in Ireland for research proposals under anihwa Call either as partners or coordinators.

The total indicative funding provided by DAFM in respect of this Call shall not exceed €500,000.00

Funding for participation in WOODWISDOM-NET+ Call

The total indicative funding provided by DAFM in respect of this Call shall not exceed €450,000.00.

Interested Irish applicants should consult with the Irish co-ordinator for information regarding Irish participation in this Call. An information session on the Call will be held on Tuesday 12th March 2013 at 12.00 in Agriculture House Kildare Street Dublin 2.
