Proposal: This consultation process was to assist the Minister in his consideration of the legal requirement to ensure that the bodies prescribed in an amended Statutory Instrument  are representative of  organisations that are concerned with the conservation, development and protection of wild fisheries in accordance with section 23 (3) (b) of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act 1997.
