EU approved ABP plants

Plants handling or processing animal by-products must be approved by the competent authority in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1069/2009.

The lists of approved ABP plants are in the format laid down by the European Commission.

Section I  Establishments or plants carrying out intermediate activities and plants storing animal by-products (Article 24 (1) (h) & (i) or Regulation (EC) No. 1069/2009)- Intermediate Plants, Hide Stores, Plants Supplying Pet Food, Knackeries and Wool Stores (xls 47Kb)   - Intermediate Plants, Hide Stores, Plants Supplying Pet Food, Knackeries and Wool Stores.
Section II Establishments or Plants for the Storage of Derived Products (Article 24(1)(j) of Regulation (EC) No 1069/2009 (xls 24Kb)   - Plants storing processed animal protein (PAP), rendered fat and fish oils for other than feeding or oleochemical purposes and some fertilisers.
