Forestry Appeals Committee

The Forestry Appeals Committee (FAC) is an independent office established to hear appeals against decisions on licence applications for afforestation, tree felling, forest road works and aerial fertilisation.  The FAC is based in the Agriculture Appeals Office, Kilminchy Court, Portlaoise; here.

Before making an appeal, those dissatisfied with a decision on any of the above licence applications, are encouraged to read the FAC’s procedure document here and Regulations here.  In order to make an appeal, the FAC Notice of Appeal Form, which is found here, must be completed.

The completed form must be sent, along with all supporting documentation to the address below.  Please note carefully that details of your appeal will notified by the FAC to all parties to the licence – see section 2.2(g) of the FAC Procedures.

The link below gives details of applications for forestry licences currently under appeal.

All queries on appeals must be directed to the FAC.
