2017 Competitive Call for Research Proposals
The 2017 Competitive Call for Research Proposals is seeking proposals to help realise the opportunities and address the challenges outlined in key policy documents of major relevance and in particular Food Wise 2025, which sets out ambitious targets for the sustainable development of the agri-food, forest and marine sectors and the bioeconomy.
The topics in the Research Call are categorised into four overarching thematic strands:
- Agriculture
- Food
- Forest
- Cross-cutting (across some/all of the three aforementioned themes)

Call Timeframe
Application Submission Timeframe:
- Call opening: 29th June 2017
- Deadline for submission of technical queries: 7th September 2017 (1pm)
- Deadline for submission of completed applications in Call 2017: 14th September 2017 (1 pm)
Evaluation and Award Timeframe (please note these post-application timings are indicative):
- Evaluations: Q4 2017
- Contract Negotiations: Q1 2018
- Grant of Awards: Q2 2018
